An airbrush tattoo is a type of temporary body art which is created with stencils, FDA approved body paints. With an airbrush a non-toxic ink/paint/make-up is sprayed through a stencil onto the skin. The airbrush paint has been formulated by a qualified cosmetic chemist. It is alcohol based and all ingredients are cosmetic and food grade material being of a non-toxic nature. It is not a dye like henna but sits on the surface of the skin.

Airbrushed Tattoo are water resistant usually they can last up to 14 days, if taken care of properly. An airbrush tattoo last longer on dry skin compared to if you have sun block on or if your skin is sweaty or oily. If a person has very oily skin, an Airbrush Tattoo will tend to not last as long as it would on a person with dryer skin. For obvious reasons, body oils will come through the skin under the paint, therefore ruining the adhesion properties of the paint. It also depends on where it is positioned on the body. If applied where clothing may rub on the tattoo, this will limit the life span. Keeping it dry and applying baby powder often will help it to last longer. If needed, an airbrush tattoo can be easily removed with 70% isopropyl alcohol or baby oil.
